The true meaning of the word IS is reality without boundaries: it IS. If we think about this mutual moment of ours, it is exactly like it IS. It is openness to look at and hearken reality, for reality IS. The space which we all are a part of at the moment, this moment and this whole, it IS. When you look at this table, you can notice that it IS. Look at the surroundings that you see through the window, it IS. When you think about yourselves, you can notice: I AM. Also life IS and is going on. Nature in itself IS, living and realizing itself. Everything simply IS, interacting. You are what you are; in you, there is absolutely everything. You are good or bad exactly the way you are. You yourselves create the contents of the word IS, the contents of yourselves. The table IS, it is exactly the way it IS; the definition of the table is done by man. If an individual from a culture which does not know a table would define it, the definition would be completely different to our definition. He would give to it a completely different use, for the definition would come from his own world of experiences. There are many ways to see a table and its use. Still, this is a table, no matter how people use it, what one thinks about it or how it is defined.
You cannot define God, for God IS and this energy which IS, is defined inside every man. Every man acts as a filter and uses this energy in his own way for something negative or positive, or for a destructive or a constructive purpose. However, this energy just IS and in itself it is not anything, it just IS. The key is in yourselves, for you yourselves mold this energy for the use which you are filtering it for. You yourselves see around you exactly what you want to see. You yourselves create forms for this energy with your word, according to your own mind. This energy simply IS, everything at once or only one detail. The word IS contains absolutely everything: your entire life, your planet, the whole universe and eternity, for the word IS is the core and produces everything in itself. In the word IS, there is silence, for sounds are born in silence.
Everyone has this core in himself; it simply IS. At every moment you are exactly what you are, for every moment IS. When we think about this, it helps us to the moment, for in the moment, there is always a key. In it, there is reality, and it is living. What has been, has been. What is to come, is not yet living. The word IS is loving and consoling: it does not deny anything, it does not exclude anything or define anything but it is a permission. The word IS grants us a permission to be exactly what we are at that very moment and to accept ourselves just the way we are at that moment. Acceptance generates love for ourselves and for all the sides of our being, and we can see our past with the eyes of love and find there the common thread that is serving us. Love looks to the future with trust, and the future brings loving things, thus providing to be worthy of our trust. In this very moment, we have all that we need at our disposal. In nature, everything has all that it needs for its well-being at that moment. The same applies to man, for he has all that he needs in this moment. It is only about the attitude and thoughts of man: does he allow himself to see and find in this moment the things he needs?
Very often man defines himself with his own attitude and his own thoughts and denies from himself the state IS, or all that which is the foundation of his existence. In nature, this does not happen: nature simply IS, lives, is well and is able to use everything from around to support its well-being. Let us think about a bookshelf which is covering the whole wall and is full of books. It IS. We can choose freely from it all that serves us. If we are interested in one particular author only, we only see his name. Everything else remains unnoticed, and we can no longer choose freely. We may also think that we are too tired to check the upper self, when we can only choose from books on lower shelves. We can also loath the dusty bookshelf, when we cannot choose anything from it. The bookshelf simply IS, and the books simply ARE. Man himself chooses. If man is open, he can see everything and take whatever serves him. Man himself creates his life, for life just IS. The word IS is life itself in its entirety, it IS God, it IS everything. The word tells about the universe, for it does not confine anything or deny anything. It does not guide or advice, it just IS, letting itself for our use.
Let us still think about the bookshelf which just IS: all that is in it is free for use. It does not deny itself from anybody, not a single book. No book will rise against us saying that it does not want to have anything to do with us, that we are not worthy of reading it or that our hands are not clean enough to touch it. We choose by ourselves what we pick out from this moment, just like each of you chooses inside what he hears me say. Everyone has his own background and life situation at the present moment, so my words have a very different emphasis to each of you. IS is a whole, and your body alone tells that you are a multidimensional entity: you have four limbs, a head, two ears, two eyes etc., and on a more fine-grained level, there are additionally an infinite amount of cells. These cells are me, for they create that which IS. In this way you can understand the structure of mind and the emotional life as well, for in there, there are all kinds of things which have been forming since childhood. It all simply IS but man himself can choose which of it he will use. You would not want to say: "Remove the right leg, I can't accept it!" or "God, please blind my right eye and deafen my left ear for I cannot accept them". You simply are happy to have both legs, two eyes and two ears. You do not think which eye sees good things and which eye bad things and which one should be removed, or which ear hears positive things and which ear negative things and which one should be removed, or which hand is acting lovingly, which one is destructing. You do not think like this, but you use this whole and are happy that it works and you have this whole for your use. It is only an ancillary tool with the help of which you do things which are either good or bad for you, either constructive or destructive. The whole in itself is not acting, you are only using it, and so it is also with everything else in your lives.
Now I would like to give you an exercise to be done. Give yourselves a moment in a day when you just create a silence in your own way with the help of respiration. You connect your mind with your breathing and let your mind follow your breathing. If there are thoughts rising in your mind, return them gently to your breathing. In this way silence unfolds and your core unfolds. You journey to your own core which IS in you, for inside you, there is absolutely everything and with the help of this silence, you yourselves open up to yourselves. Let the word, IS, come in your mind at times and repeat it in your mind.
